First of all you have your choice of characters for the magic show. You can choose between "Wes Booth, Family Fun Magician," or "Lucky the Magic Clown." Some folks prefer the clown character for the younger kids, while from age 6 and up, the magician character is normally the best fit.

The standard show is a 40-45 minute magic show geared to the age level of the kids in the audience. There is a lot of comedy, a lot of audience participation, and as long as the birthday person is comfortable with it, Wes tries to put them in the spotlight, and really make them the star of the show.

For instance, there is one part of the show where the magic seems to have gone wrong, and Wes invites the birthday person up on stage to help fix things. Wes says, "If you are going to be my assistant, you really need to look like a magician's assistant." Then Wes dresses them in a red and black cape and a top hat. After this Wes says, "There is only one other thing you need now to be my assistant; of course I am talking about a magician's assistant's magic wand!" Before presenting the wand to the birthday person Wes tells them, "This wand is very old - it used to belong to my grandfather. Every day I take it out of its case and polish it. If I let you use my grandfather's magic wand, you must promise to be careful with it! Do you promise?"

Of course the birthday person promises to be careful, but as soon as the wand is in their hand, it collapses into about different 10 pieces. The look on the birthday person's face is priceless and you really get to take some great pictures or video here! After this the birthday person gets to save the day and the whole story has a happy ending.

At the end of the 40-45 minute show the birthday person helps Wes make a live rabbit appear by magic and all the kids get to pet the bunny. After this Wes gets all the kids to sing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday person, and now is usually a good time to transition to cake and presents. The fee for this standard program is only $150 plus travel (25 cents a mile) beyond a 20 mile radius of Newport, Maine.

Some folks prefer a longer program to keep the kids happily involved even more. For these folks Wes offers a deluxe program which contains everything you get in the first program, plus when the bunny has been produced and has visited the audience, Wes transitions into making balloon animals for all the kids. You know those long, skinny balloons that you can twist every which way? Well, all the kids at the party receive a balloon animal and then Wes makes some special balloon animals for the birthday person. After this the kids all sing "Happy Birthday" and Wes helps transition them to cake and presents or whatever you have planned for next. The fee for this program is only $175 plus travel where applicable.

For those who demand only the biggest and best, Wes offers a super deluxe package which contains everything from the deluxe package, and also contains a large scale illusion in which the birthday person actually floats on thin air aboard a "Magic Flying Carpet." Wes has performed this illusion countless times at schools, fairs, and festivals. It is totally amazing and 100% safe. The fee for this super deluxe package is $200 plus travel where applicable.
